Frosted decorative film applied to interior glazing

Privacy & Decorative Films

Everyday privacy, softly styled.

Frosted, decorative and privacy films offer a practical way to soften sightlines, define spaces and add character to residential and commercial glass. Availability may vary and performance depends on lighting conditions — reflective and one-way films do not behave the same way at night.

Quick answers

Straight answers, before you read further.

What is privacy and decorative film?

Applied glass film used to reduce visibility, obscure glazing or decorate glass — including frosted, patterned, gradient and custom cut designs.

Does privacy film work at night?

Reflective privacy films work best when the outside is brighter than inside. Frosted films obscure both day and night, so they suit bathrooms, offices and partitions.

Can film be used on office partitions and shopfronts?

Yes. Frosted bands, manifestation, logos and full privacy treatments are common on partitions, meeting rooms and shopfront glazing.

Is safety or security film available?

Yes. Safety and security films are available separately for glass fragment retention — see our window tinting and films page.

What areas does Halo service?

Rockingham, Baldivis, Mandurah and Greater Perth, including Kwinana, Port Kennedy, Secret Harbour, Warnbro, Waikiki, Safety Bay, Shoalwater, the Peel region and southern Perth suburbs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful answers before you enquire.

Will one-way privacy film work at night?+

Reflective and one-way films rely on brighter light on the outside than the inside. After dark, with interior lights on, that effect reverses — additional treatments like blinds or curtains are usually needed for consistent night privacy.

Can I still see out with frosted film?+

Standard frosted film obscures vision in both directions. Where you want to keep an outside view, graduated films or partial-height applications may be more suitable.

Can film include a custom design or logo?+

Yes. Custom cut patterns and branded finishes are available for many commercial applications, subject to design specification.

Can decorative film be removed later?+

Most decorative films can be removed and replaced, which makes them well suited to rented or evolving commercial spaces.

Will film damage my glass?+

Professionally installed film should not damage the glass. Film type and application must be matched to the glass, particularly for toughened or laminated panes.

How long does installation take?+

Most residential jobs are expected to be completed in a single visit. Timing for commercial spaces depends on scope and access and is confirmed at quote stage.
